A cold Pacific storm will bring rain and snow in the mountains Monday.
Rain amounts of 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch west of the mountains and up to 1.5 inches could fall on some west-facing mountain slopes by the end of the day.

In Loma Portal, drivers slowed down to avoid puddles collected on roadways.
Along Ocean Beach, experienced surfers tested their skills in the water despite a high surf advisory that extends until 2 p.m. Tuesday..
"I got pummeled a little bit," said surfer Jimmy Huprich. "I got a spanking out there today."
Several inches of snow are possible above 6,000 feet in the mountains.
Residents in the mountains and deserts will see gusty winds according to the National Weather Service.
The most recent models have the rain starting in the morning and sticking around for most of the day.
The NWS is forecasting rain beginning in Orange County and the Inland Empire and then spreading into San Diego County by midday.

There is a chance of showers Monday night before 10 p.m. with sunny skies returning Tuesday.
