A teenager accused in a series of rapes in San Diego County was in police custody Tuesday as investigators search for additional victims.

Seth Roberts, 18, is accused of 13 felony counts including rape, false imprisonment and a sex crime on someone under 14 years old.

Roberts was arrested on Dec. 5 and ordered held on $1.25 million bail.

The teenager is the suspect in at least three sex assaults that occurred in October and November, San Diego police said. No specific dates were given.

The first case happened on Summit Meadow Road near the Sweetwater Summit Regional Park east of State Route 125 and south of State Route 54.

The second incident happened on the 2000 block of Reed Avenue which is south of Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach.

The third occurred on the 1000 block of Kostner Drive in Otay Mesa West, west of Interstate 805 and north of Interstate 905.

Investigators say Roberts would identify himself as Seth to young females and befriend them by telling them he was from out of state.

He's accused of sexually assaulting his victims with a weapon, police said.

SDPD did not provide details regarding where Roberts lived but said the department believes he is from Oklahoma and arrived in the San Diego area in October.

He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 143 pounds, clean-shaven with dirty blond hair. He frequently wore a black and white beanie and rode a skateboard, police said.

Roberts' next court appearance is scheduled for January 25.
