San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer wants to boost Internet speeds at city libraries.
He and Library Director Misty Jones were at the Malcolm X Library in Valencia Park Thursday to promote the need for funding.
The Mayor wants to increase opportunities for under-served communities by increasing internet bandwidth and download speeds at San Diego's public libraries.
The City Council votes on his budget next week.
