San Diego County is offering a new tool for Spanish-language residents to use in emergency situations.
The countyโs just launched a free Spanish SD Emergency App.
The app is available through iTunes as is the English language version. County officials say the app will offer updates during wildfires or other public safety emergencies.
โWe want all residents to have the information they need to make good decisions in an emergency situation,โ Holly Crawford, director of the County Office of Emergency Services said on the countyโs website.
County officials also suggest residents register for โReverse 911โ with their mobile phone numbers so they can be informed of evacuations in their area.
