The Princeton Review ranked UC San Diego among the nation's top 10 "best value" public colleges for 2009, university officials
announced Thursday.
The Review listed UCSD in seventh place on its annual ranking of the 50 private and 50 public "best college values."
The University of Virginia topped the magazine's list for public colleges.
The rankings were based on surveys of administrators and students at more than 650 public and private colleges. Categories included academics, cost of attendance and financial aid.
