The San Diego Brewers Guild, which promotes the region’s breweries and related companies, has launched a new website, SDbeer.com, streaming craft beer content for a general audience in addition to its members.
A statement from the nonprofit industry advocacy group said the site now includes consumer information and assists out-of-town visitors with planning their own beer-centric trips. There is also an interactive map of San Diego County breweries and allied members.
The site now offers up-to-date information on beer-related events around the region, which can be filtered by type and location, and lets users sign up for the guild’s weekly email news blast.
“Content from the new site will also be promoted to craft fans via social media and e-newsletters,” said Todd Colburn, a member of the guild’s board of directors, who also heads San Diego-based consulting firm Higher Gravity Brand Advocates and oversaw the website revamp.
The new site’s layout was designed by Ben Liddi and developed by Escondido-based digital agency Motionstrand. Content is supported by Betterpress, a collaborative publishing site.
San Diego Brewers Guild was started in 1997 and currently includes more than 400 industry members. The guild organizes regular events including the annual San Diego Rhythm & Brews and San Diego Beer Week.
