Dozens of Flights Canceled at Lindbergh Field

The National Weather Service said a nor'easter would bring heavy snow, powerful winds and widespread coastal flooding through Tuesday. A blizzard warning was issued for a 250-mile stretch of the Northeast, including New York and Boston.

Airlines had canceled about 2,000 flights Monday because of the storm and were expected to cancel more, according to the flight tracking site FlightAware. Those affected most are the three airports serving New York City. More than 20 percent of flights in Boston and Philadelphia we canceled.

At least 50 flights were cancelled between San Diego and LaGuardia Airport Monday with several dozen flights headed to Boston canceled as well.

For those traveling Monday, airline officials suggest they check destination airport as well as their connecting flight.
