Tickets for San Diego’s Holiday Bowl and San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl will go on sale Thursday at 11 a.m.
The 12th annual SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl will kick off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21 at Qualcomm Stadium.
The Brigham Young University Cougars are slated to play the top team from the Mountain West Conference not invited to the College Football Playoff. The San Diego State Aztecs, winners of the Mountain West Championship in 2015, are favored to repeat in 2016.
The Poinsettia Bowl will follow WinterFest, a brand new San Diego holiday experience complete with winter-themed activities and music for the whole family.
The 39th annual Holiday Bowl will be played the following week on Tuesday, December 27th at Qualcomm at 4 p.m. The game will feature the top teams from the Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences left out of the College Football Playoff.
The Holiday Bowl will be teaming up with the Sycaun Band of the Kumeyaay Nation to give local service men and women free tickets to the game as part of the Treat Your Troops program. Every ticket purchased by the general public will be matched with a donated ticket from Sycuan.
