Rollover Throws 8 From Car

Five people were inside a Toyota Camry, three others stuffed in the trunk, when it jumped from westbound Interstate 8 in Descanso and rolled over.

All eight people were thrown from the vehicle. No one was killed. Three of the victims were rushed to the hospital by air. At last check, they were in critical condition, according to KFMB.

The accident happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday near Japatul Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident caused one lane to be blocked on the highway. No other cars were involved in the accident and no law enforcement agency was chasing the car, according to CHP.
