Response to Kony 2012 Co-Founder's Detainment

Social media users were shocked and then concerned

When the #StopKony Campaign began, millions of activists joined Invisible Children in their push to end the use of child soldiers in Uganda. The viral video targeted dictator Joseph Kony.

About a week later the non-profit's co-founder Jason Russell was detained in Pacific Beach on Thursday for acting out in public and masturbating, according to San Diego Police Department.
