Rally Kicks Off Chargers Football in Los Angeles

Turns out, there really are Chargers fans in Los Angeles.

Well, at least around 150 of them.

Fans gathered at the Forum in Inglewood to welcome the Bolts to LA. The “rally” was an RSVP-required event and included team owner Dean Spanos, new head coach Anthony Lynn, several players and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“This is the start of an exciting new chapter in Chargers’ history,” Spanos told the crowd, eliciting cheers.

The mood of the event was upbeat, drawing cheers from the fans who attended, save for one fan who heckled Spanos and was ejected from the building.

At the rally’s end, blue and yellow confetti fell from the ceiling.

Here’s a sampling of NBC 7 reporter Artie Ojeda’s tweets from the event.
