Police Search for Suspects After Home Invasion: Allied Gardens

Police say suspects took two unloaded guns from a home in the 7300 block of Viar Avenue

San Diego police are searching for two men who they said locked residents in a closet during a home invasion robbery in Allied Gardens on Sunday morning.

The incident happened at a home in the 7300 block of Viar Avenue at about 8:26 a.m., according to police.

Two suspects, one of which was armed with a handgun, reportedly entered the home, locked the residents inside a closet and stole two unloaded weapons.

One suspect was described as a black male in his 20s who stood about 6 foot 2 inches tall and wore a black shirt with the with the words "AA87" on it. The second man was said to be a white male with a thin mustache, who wore a ski mask during the incident.

The number of victims wasn't immediately clear.
