Gunshot Wound Victim Found in Point Loma

Harbor Police discovered a body at 8:30 a.m.

A body was found in the Marine Fisheries Center in Point Loma Thursday morning, according to police.

Harbor Police said they found the body of a 40 to 50-year-old man around 8:30 a.m. on Nimitz Boulevard.

Police say the body was found with a gunshot wound to his head in some bushes.

San Diego police homicide unit is investigating it as a suspicious death.

The cause and manner of his death are not known at this time.  An autopsy will be performed by the Medical Examiner’s office.
