You may know him from any number of huge hits ("Loser" and "Where It's At" immediately come to mind), but the mononymous singer, songwriter and record producer has been pumping out great music for more than three decades! Has it really been that long (man, we feel old -- yet how does he look exactly the same)?

Always a lively, fun performer, Beck certainly didn't disappoint during the July 20 show -- which also featured co-headliners Cage the Elephant (look for their own photo gallery on SoundDiego.com soon).

He trotted out a 15-song set list that included all the hits, including: "Loser," "E-Pro," "The New Pollution," "Up All Night"...

Along with "Wow," "Girl," "Mixed Bizness," "I'm So Free," "Debra," "Black Tambourine," "Saw Lightning," "Dreams," "Devils Haircut," and "Where It's At."

The show's closer? None other than his collaboration with co-headliner Cage the Elephant, "Night Running" -- the band's singer Matt Shultz came back onstage to sing it with him!

It was a delight to see him bust out a couple tunes from his 1999 Grammy-nominated album "Midnite Vultures" (a personal fave) -- those funk/soul tunes always go over well with big crowds.

However, fans hoping to hear a bunch of "Sea Change" or "Morning Phase" songs probably went home a tad disappointed; it was just not the time or place!

The show came in the midst of a huge national tour that Beck and Cage the Elephant announced back in February. The July 20 San Diego date was just the sixth stop on the trek, which wraps up on Aug. 30 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

It lines up, of course, with the release of Beck's upcoming 14th studio album titled "Hyperspace" (due out this summer). Cage the Elephant also have new music in the mix -- they just dropped "Social Cues" on April 19.

Beck's previous studio album, "Colors," won Best Alternative Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. It, of course, followed his huge wins at the 2015 Grammys -- including Album of the Year for "Morning Phase."

You might actually remember that he nearly experienced his own quasi-Kanye/T-Swift moment when the rapper got up and walked toward the stage to interrupt Beck's acceptance speech, but instead walked away.

Also on the bill? None other than the aforementioned Spoon!

The Austin, Texas-based indie-rock group has been a long-time crowd favorite -- and honestly, we wished they enjoyed even more popularity than they already do. They're incredible! (Britt Daniel pictured)

The band, which got its start in 1993, is comprised of frontman Britt Daniel, drummer Jim Eno (pictured), multi-instrumentalist Alex Fischel, and multi-instrumentalist Gerardo Larios.

Their July 20 set was full of the band's best-known songs -- which makes sense considering "Everything Hits at Once," their new greatest-hits album, is due out on July 26! (Daniel pictured)

Their set list started off with "Rent I Pay," "Don't You Evah," "I Turn My Camera On" and "Inside Out" (a personal fave from their 2014 album "They Want My Soul")... (Fischel pictured)

Followed by "My Mathematical Mind," "The Beast and Dragon, Adored," "No Bullets Spent," "The Way We Get By" and finally, "The Underdog." (Daniel pictured)

Daniel is one of rock's premier frontmen -- he commands the stage effortlessly with charisma and humor. But he's never too flashy or over the top -- a rare breed indeed!

If you couldn't tell, the entire show was phenomenal (we'll have our Cage the Elephant pics up soon so you can see them too) -- and we hope they all come back to town soon!
