Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcyclist on a Carlsbad street Saturday evening, according to Carlsbad police.
The accident happened sometime before 6:40 p.m. when the male victim was crossing El Camino Real north of La Costa Ave, police said.
As the victim crossed, a motorcyclist was headed north-bound on the same street and struck the pedestrian.
When officers arrived on the scene they reportedly found a man lying in the street badly injured. The motorcyclist was uninjured, police said.
It's not clear what caused the accident and the identities of the victim and motorcyclist have yet to be released.
