Parents Warned After ‘Sexting' Incidents

Parents in Encinitas have received letters warning them about teens sending or receiving naked self-portraits via cell phone text messages, according to a published report.

“Sexting” has gained popularity among teens.

At least two incidents have been reported in the San Dieguito Union High School District in the last two years, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. One happened at San Dieguito Academy and a second occurred at Oak Crest Middle School.

Both incidents involved girls sending naked pictures of themselves to boys, the paper reported.
