A driver was killed in Palm City early Saturday when he crashed his car into a parked big rig, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) said.
The deadly collision happened at around 3 a.m. in the 2500 block of Palm Avenue. Investigators said a driver in his mid-30s was traveling westbound in his Acura when, for unknown reasons, he drifted to the right, rear-ending a big rig trailer that was parked on the street.
The driver died from injuries suffered in the crash, the SDPD confirmed.
No further details, including the driver’s name, were immediately released. No one else was hurt.
