An overturned dump truck blocked traffic at a busy Carlsbad intersection for several hours, police said.
The truck tipped over and spilled its load around 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of North El Camino Real and Olivenhain Road, according to the Carlsbad Police Department (CPD).
Traffic was backed up in the area and motorists were urged to use alternate routes, police said.
Around 2:20 p.m., police reopened the road and the cleared the scene.
No one was injured in the accident, according to the CPD.
The cause of the accident was being investigated by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department (SDSO).
