San Diego police say they have made an arrest in a shooting that left one man dead in Valencia Park more than two years ago.
On March 14, 2013, Xavier Fox was found suffering from one gunshot wound just after noon in the 5400 block of Trinidad Way. He died at the scene.
Over the past two years, SDPD homicide detectives looked into the case, but it wasn’t until recently that they received information about a suspect.
Detectives and the District Attorney’s office have been working together to conduct follow-up interviews and build their case.
Finally on Friday, they accused San Diego resident Orlandous Jackett, 32, of murder in Fox’s death.
Jackett was already in jail on an unrelated charge. The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge on Monday.
