A 21-year old driver was injured after a car drove into a building Tuesday night in University Heights, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) confirmed.
The incident happened at approximately 9:57 p.m. on El Cajon Boulevard and Park Boulevard.
SDPD says the man drove into a The Annex Building near the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) Building in University Heights.
He suffered a broken foot and serious internal injuries, according to SDPD.
His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
He was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD).
SDPD said the driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
