One person was taken into custody after a pursuit in the Kensington area of San Diego Thursday night.
The pursuit began after National City patrol officers noticed the vehicle traveling at a high speed, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
When they attempting to pull him over, the driver did not stop, leading to a pursuit.
The driver led officers from northbound Interstate 805 to northbound Interstate 15, eventually exiting on Adams Avenue.
According to police, the suspect threw a large amount of narcotics at some point during the pursuit.
The pursuit ended on the 4700 block of Vista Street around 8:45 p.m. when the driver hit a dead end street and ran into a canyon on foot.
He was arrested with the help of a SDPD K-9.
