North County Burglary Ring Suspect Arrested

Gabriella Vegara, 35, was arrested for possession of stolen items

Detectives arrested a Valley Center woman on Wednesday in connection with a large-scale burglary ring in the North County, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.

Gabriella Vegara, 35, was arrested around 8 a.m. after detectives from multiple agencies served a search warrant at a home in the 15300-block of Vesper Road.

According to officials, the warrant was related to a burglary series involving at least 21 cases of residential and vehicle burglaries throughout the North County.

While executing the search warrant, detectives recovered numerous stolen items related to ongoing burglary investigations and suspected stolen property.

Vegara was arrested for possession of the stolen items.

Detectives said the investigation into the burglary ring is ongoing and officials are working to identify additional victims of the thefts.

To date, several burglary suspects involved in this series have been identified by detectives based on physical evidence, recovered property and investigative work.
