Naval Base Point Loma Was On Lockdown Due to ‘Suspicious Person'

Naval Base Point Loma was on lockdown due to a "suspicious person," Thursday afternoon.

The lockdown was confirmed on the base's Facebook page around 12:15 p.m. and was lifted by 1:50 p.m.

Naval Base Point Loma said the suspicious person has been detained and is being questioned by law enforcement.

Gateway Youth Center and Patrick Wade CDC were also on lockdown but parents were able to pick up their kids by 1:30 p.m.

All gates are now open to normal traffic.
