A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Chula Vista Monday, Chula Vista police said.
The driver of another vehicle collided with the victim on Main Street and Industrial Boulevard around 2:15 p.m. and fled the scene, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered traumatic injuries as a result of the crash, police said. Paramedics performed life-saving efforts on the victim, but he died shortly after at the scene.
The victim appeared to be in his 30s and is a resident of the South Bay.
There was no description of the suspect or the suspect's vehicle yet, besides possibly being an SUV, according to Chula Vista police. Investigators are actively working on the case and are checking surveillance video from nearby businesses.
No other information was immediately available.
