Man Killed in El Cerrito Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist killed in El Cerrito Friday has been identified as 35-year-old Elias Rivera Arriola.

Arriola went down at 54th and University around 4:39 p.m. Friday San Diego police confirmed.

Witnesses said Arriola gunned his bike off the light going 70 to 90 mph when he lost control and slammed into a parked Ford Explorer. 

"I just saw pieces of bike and him go flying. He skidded pretty far as you can tell," one witness told NBC 7. 

"I'm still shaking," another witness said. "I just can't believe I just witnessed the whole thing." 

The cause of death was multiple blunt impact. 

He was pronounced dead shorty after being transported to the hospital. 

Arriola was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
