More Than 40 Phones Stolen in Armed Robbery Carlsbad Verizon Store

Aprroximately 40 to 50 phones were stolen during an armed robbery at a Verizon store in Carlsbad Monday night, the Carlsbad Police Department confirmed.

The robbery happened around 7:20 p.m. at the store on Carlsbad Village Drive near Interstate 5. 

Police say there were three men involved in the robbery.

One suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, 6-foot 3-inches tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds. He had been carrying a handgun.

The second suspect was wearing a dark hat, black hoodie, sunglasses, 6-feet 1-inch,  about 190 pounds. There is no description available for the third suspect.

It's unknown if the men took off on foot or used a getaway vehicle.

Police say the phones stolen were iPhone and Samsung phones.

No other information was immediately available.
