Military Aircraft Likely Visible Across San Diego During MCAS Miramar Readiness Exercise

Military planes may be spotted in the airfield above San Diego Friday as Marine Corps Air Station Miramar conducts a readiness exercise.

The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing's exercise will have a high volume of military aircraft in atypical flight patterns, the U.S. Marine Corps said.

The planes will make their way to training ranges above the Pacific Ocean and may pass over Del Mar, University City and Carmel Valley starting at 10 a.m.

The training will last from four to six hours, USMC said.
