Meet Jessica Vilchis, the co-host of California Live.
As the co-host of California Live, Vilchis provides viewers with a unique local perspective on topics such as lifestyle, travel and must-see destinations, culinary experiences and more.
Vilchis is known for her exclusive reports and has explored California from Coronado Island to Lake Tahoe and everywhere in between, consistently giving viewers a fresh perspective on where to eat, sleep and play.
Also, in her role as the host of NBC4's regular Ski Trippin' and Road Trippin' segments, she offers viewers tips and a behind-the-scenes look at fun activities and destinations. Vilchis joined NBC4 in 2009.
When Vilchis moved to Los Angeles in 2005, she worked for the Style Network as a red carpet and fashion correspondent and as a commercial actor. In 2012, she hosted NBC Sports' "Team USA’s Road to London."
When Vilchis is not exploring new spots for work, she practices yoga and meditation. She also enjoys arts and crafts, including scrapbooking and sewing. She credits her Mexican and Russian heritage for her love and interest in different cultures. Jessica is fluent in Spanish and can understand Russian.
Vilchis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
