A 43-year-old South Bay man died from his injuries on Wednesday after falling 75 feet off the cliffs above Blacks Beach.
Lifeguards spotted Chula Vista resident Nestor Revilla Hernandez climbing the bluffs at Torrey Pines at about 5 p.m. They said he lost his footing and fell.
Rescuers used a helicopter to pull Hernandez up and then performed CPR.He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
