Man Wanted for Double Robberies: SDPD

San Diego police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of man wanted for two commercial robberies that happened minutes within each other last month in Clairemont Mesa and Grantville.

Around 5 a.m. on June 25, the suspect, armed with a black handgun, entered the Shell Gas station located at 6125 Balboa Ave., said Lt. Kevin Ammon of SDPD.

The man demanded money from a clerk before leaving the station with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Ammon.

Minutes later, police said the same suspect entered the Body Beautiful Car Wash located at 4282 Camino Del Rio North and grabbed money that was on the counter next to the register.

When the clerk confronted him, the suspect allegedly pointed a black handgun at the clerk and then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as being 25-years-old, 5 foot 8 and wearing a white zip-up hoodie during the first robbery and a blue-checkered hoodie at the second robbery, according to a media release.

A reward is of up to $1,000 is being offered for anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest.
