Man Runs Free After Robbing Hillcrest Bank

A man fled a Hillcrest bank on foot after using a note to demand cash from a teller.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a man made off with an unspecified amount of cash after issuing a demand note to a teller at the Mission Federal Credit Union branch on 269 W. Washington Street at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white man in his 50s with a beard. He was wearing a light green shirt and blue jeans with a grey sweater tied around his waist.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on West Washington Street toward Albatross Street.
