Locals Unite for 3rd Annual ‘Finish Chelsea’s Run’

Locals gathered in Balboa Park Saturday morning for the 3rd Annual “Finish Chelsea’s Run,” a 5K race and fun run/walk held in honor of slain local teen Chelsea King. King was last seen on Feb. 25, 2010 when she went for a run that she’d never finish at Rancho Bernardo Community Park. King was killed by registered sex offender John Gardner, who was later sentenced to life in prison for her death and the murder of 14-year-old local Amber Dubois.
