A man who didn't get the message the first two times he was caught poaching lobsters is sentenced to jail time.
Binh Chau was given a 90-day sentence Wednesday for his third conviction in 18 months for poaching lobsters from the La Jolla Underwater park. The park is a protected state marine conservation area.
Chau was also placed on three years probation and is banned from fishing within the jurisdictional boundaries of the city of San Diego.
Chau was most recently arrested on March 17 when a a California Fish and Game warden on patrol around midnight saw Chau fishing for lobsters with a handline. Chau was busted with of the sea bugs, three of undersize, according to investigators.
