A school bus crashed into a building in Linda Vista Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
SDPD and the San Diego Fire-Rescue (SDFD) were called to the scene on 3003 Armstrong Street near the San Diego Center for Children and Kearny High School.
The school bus driver routinely transports children living at the center to area schools.
"This bus was here waiting for school to be dismissed so they could pick up the kids," said Dr. Moises Baron, President and CEO of San Diego Center for Children. "There were no kids on the bus and we are grateful for that."
There were minor damages to the bus and the building, according to SDPD.
It is unclear if there were passengers on the bus at the time, but no patients were reported by SDPD and the rescue response was canceled shortly after the accident.
Baron said the area of the building damaged was used as a resident's room. Arrangements were made for the night and the center would wait to learn if further repairs were needed.
