A woman was shot in the leg in Linda Vista Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Her neighbor called police after the incident at around 11:30 a.m. on Linda Vista Road.
The woman said she was shot in the street; however, SDPD said officers couldn’t find a blood trail to confirm this.
“We believe the incident occurred in the apartments,” said Lt. Christian Sharp.
A weapon was found in a nearby dumpster, but Sharp said it is unclear if that was the gun used at this time.
The woman was transported to Sharp Memorial for her injuries and underwent surgery.
