Officials have identified an 18-year-old motorcyclist killed over the weekend in a head-on crash in Ramona.

Kruize Alan Stockfelt, of Alpine, was riding his motorcycle Sunday along Highland Valley Road, west of Sky Valley Road, when a driver traveling in the opposite direction hit him, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said. The deadly collision happened just before 10:40 a.m.

The driver pulled over and called 911.

When police and medics arrived at the scene, they tried to revive Stockfelt but they couldn’t save him. The young man died at the scene.

No one else was hurt in the crash.

An online fundraising page said Stockfelt graduated from San Diego Charter School in June and was heading to Phoenix to attend school to pursue a career in mechanics.
