Kitties Looking For a Puuuurrrrfect Home

Officials are looking for a new place to take care of about 80 cats this week after the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary had to move the rescued felines from its facility off Old Highway 395 in response to a code enforcement order, the North County Times reported.

Janet Lucore, director of the Fallbrook shelter, said that the nonprofit group was able to keep its six rescued dogs at the rural residential property where Lucore lives and had been caring for more than 100 abandoned cats.

But the abundance of kitties was not welcome by code enforcement officers, who ordered the caretakers to move them, Lucore said.
