Two of San Diego’s favorite holiday traditions are coming back to the Old Globe theater in Balboa Park this winter.
Dates have been set for the theater’s annual performances of Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” along with its well-known tree-lighting Ceremony.
This year’s performance of Dr. Seuss’ famous holiday tale marks the Old Globe’s 11th anniversary production of the play. The show will run from Nov. 15 to Dec. 28. Be sure to check out www.TheOldGlobe.org for information on the cast and purchasing tickets. Tickets are going fast.
The Old Globe’s third annual tree-lighting ceremony will also mark the beginning of the holiday season. The celebration is free to the public and will take place on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. on the Globe Plaza. This family event will feature a holiday snowfall and a live performance by members of the “Grinch” cast.
