Infant Injured in Fall in Vista Flown to Rady Children's Hospital

An 8-month-old was life flighted from Vista to Rady Children's Hospital after suffering a fall.

San Diego County Sheriff's Department Lieutenant Jason Vickery said the child fell from an unknown height at around 7:12 p.m. along Glenmere Road.

The mother was distraught on the phone with deputies, the lieutenant said. 

The baby suffered mild injuries and was flown to Rady Children's Hospital trauma center, Vista Fire Department Deputy Chief Ned Vander Pol said. The child was expected to make a full recovery.

No arrests were made because there was no indication of foul play, according to Vander Pol.
