Caltrans will start major road repairs on Interstate 5 and Interstate 805 next Monday.
I-5 repairs will go from Camino de la Plaza in San Ysidro to L Street in Chula Vista.
I-805 repairs will go from the Palm Avenue to the 18th Street overcrossings in National City.
Construction crews will work Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Caltrans expects the work to be finished this fall.
Drivers should anticipate minimized noise and lane closures during this time, but not full freeway closures, Caltrans said.
This project is funded by the $54 billion Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 1, according to Caltrans.
