Fire Reported in Canyon Near SR-94, I-15

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD) reported a fire in a canyon near the on-ramp to eastbound State Route 94 from northbound Interstate 15.

The fire was called in around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, said SDFD.

At that time, the fire spanned about 20 feet by 30 feet in diameter, according to SDFD.

SDFD sent approximately 15 units to the scene, where they said the fire's forward progress has been stopped.

There was evidence of people living in the area where the fire started.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, according to SDFD.
