A homeless man in the Midway District was attacked Monday by a man with a hammer, San Diego Police said.
Investigators believe it’s the latest in a series of attacks on the city’s homeless reported over the last few weeks.
At 11:15 p.m. Monday, a homeless man was attacked near Gaines and Camino Del Rio West, police said.
The victim had cuts to his lip.
The attack has similarities to a second series of attacks on homeless men where the men were attacked by a man with an object like a hammer.
The suspect in some cases was seen riding off on a bike.
Earlier this month, a homeless man was hit in the head in East Village, that suspect took off on a bike.
