Hiker Injured at Three Sisters Falls: Cal Fire

A hiker, believed to be seriously injured at Three Sisters Falls in Julian Thursday, was rescued by helicopter, Cal Fire Department officials confirmed.

The incident was reported around 4 p.m.

Cal Fire officials initially said the hiker suffered serious injuries. A helicopter was called to assist in the rescue.

The hiker was hoisted to a ground ambulance and later released, according to a Cal Fire tweet.

At this time, it is unknown what led to the injury.

Three Sisters Falls attracts hundreds of visitors at peak points. It is considered one of the most rugged and strenuous trails in San Diego County.
