Gulls Freefall Continues With Another Loss

3-2 loss in Ontario drops Gulls to 0-6 on the season

Well ... at least this one was close?

The Gulls lost 3-2 to the Reign in Ontario on Saturday night, their 6th straight setback to start the season. In their previous four losses they were outscored 21-7 so this could be considered progress.

The clubs traded goals in the first and second periods but in the 3rd period San Diego was bitten by something that's been an issue in just about every game: they're giving up way too many uncontested shots.

Matt Luff found himself all alone in front of the goal and whipped one past goalie Jared Stolarz for the game-winning goal.

San Diego is still looking for their first standings point under new head coach Kevin Dineen. They'll try to get it next Friday against Colorado back at Pechanga Arena.
