Gulf Coast Spill Could Drive Up Co$t of Ga$

There's no question that the oil spill off the cost of Louisiana is going to be a mess.  But what will it do to the price of gas in San Diego?  Right now, experts are holding off on making dire predictions but they are watching the progress closely.

Most of San Diego's oil comes from California and Alaska so it doesn't make sense for a something so far away to impact prices here, but that doesn't always matter.  A shortage of oil anywhere in the country has a way of making its way to our local pumps in higher prices.

Right now the average in San Diego is a little over $3, but many are calling for prices to go up 25 to 50 cents more by the middle of summer with or without the help of the oil spill.
