Grab Your Umbrella

Light morning rain could lead to thunder and lightning this afternoon

A little light rain moved north, across the western third of the county early Tuesday morning.  San Diego has seen just a few brief showers but there could be more so grab the umbrella as you head out the door.

The weak storm system will move across Southern California through Tuesday evening keeping the threat of isolated, light showers with us through the morning hours and into early afternoon.  There will also be breaks in the clouds just like Monday but that will warm up the atmosphere enough to possibly fire off some thunderstorms by mid-afternoon.

Rainfall amounts will be very light; from none to a trace or, at most, just a few hundredths of an inch.  The rest of the week should be partly cloudy and cooler than normal but there will be little, if any further chance of rain.
