Gas Prices Drop in San Diego

Drop in wholesale prices bring relief to drivers

There is some relief in sight for San Diego drives.

Since Monday, wholesale "spot" prices dropped 15 cents in San Diego.  That means the price at the pump is starting to slip from record highs.  Since Monday the average price for regular came down 2 cents to $4.08.

According to the Auto Club of Southern California, prices went up nearly 25 cents in the past 30 days.  With wholesale prices coming down, drivers should see lower prices.  The 15 cents drop won't be reflected right away, but prices should come down between three and five cents by early next week.

While the price for regular dropped two cents, it went up two cents for diesel fuel.  Thursday average for diesel is $4.12.
