San Diego Gas and Electric responded to a gas leak in the Mission Valley area Monday night.
A car reportedly struck a gas line at 543 Hotel Circle South at around 10:22 p.m.
The Days Inn Hotel was evacuated while SDG&E crews worked to cap the leak, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.
There was no word on how long the fix could take.
