Six people were without a home after a fire started in the garage of an El Cajon home Monday evening.
According to Cal Fire, crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a garage.
The fire began at approximately 5:45 p.m. on the 1700 block of Broadway.
Residents were attempting to put out the flames when crews arrived on scene.
No one was injured.
The fire was confined to the garage, according to officials.
No other information was available.
