Former “Girl Next Door” Filming in San Diego

Kendra Wilkinson isn’t the “Girl Next Door” anymore, but that doesn’t mean she’s done with reality TV.

The former Playboy Playmate has left the Mansion and now she’s filming her own show – part of which she filmed in San Diego this weekend.

“I’m actually here in San Diego to celebrate Mother’s Day with my Mom and my Grandma and I’m planning on taking them out… for brunch,” Wilkinson said Saturday night at the Red Bull Air Race Party at Hard Rock Hotel.

The show is called “Kendra” and the reality show star describes it as a modern day version of “I love Lucy.”

“The show is all about me and my next step in life and it’s the whole process leading up to the wedding, getting ready for the wedding,” she said. “I know how to be funny and have fun with it you know.”

Kendra plans to marry football player fiancé Hank Baskett this summer.  Baskett popped the question to the bubbly blonde atop the Space Needle in Seattle in November 2008, according to E!.

“I’m very happy and I’m about to get married and you know, explore my next chapter,” Wilkinson said. “It’s crazy because I have cameras following me throughout that whole next chapter thing.”

The show debuts June 7 on E!.

Kim Kardashian from “ Keeping up with the Kardashians” was also at the Red Bull Air Race Party along with San Diegan and snowboarding Olympian Shaun “Flying Tomato” White, Chargers players Quentin Jammer and Steve Gregory among other celebrities.
